What Do the Friends Do?

The Friends work behind the scenes and out in the community to help make the library the best it can be.

Support the Library

The Friends raise money to provide resources, equipment, programs, and special projects that go beyond what the library's regular operating budget can provide.

Their support helps the library respond to the changing needs of our community and create new opportunities for patrons of all ages.

Bring People Together

From fundraising events and book sales to community activities, the Friends create opportunities for neighbors to come together while supporting their local library.

Volunteer

The Friends are powered by community members who give their time, talents, and energy. Volunteers help organize events, support fundraisers, spread the word about the library, and much more.

Advocate for the Library

A library is more than a building full of books. It is a place to learn, connect, discover, and belong. The Friends help raise awareness of the important role the library plays in the Ridley Park community and encourage others to support its future.

Your Support Makes a Difference

When you support the Friends, you are supporting your local library.

Friends funding has helped the Ridley Park Public Library provide programs, technology, equipment, services, and special projects that benefit our community.

Your support can help provide:

  • Programs and activities for children, teens, and adults
  • New technology and equipment
  • Special library projects
  • Community events
  • Resources that enhance the library experience
  • Improvements that help the library better serve our community

Every contribution, whether it is a donation, a membership, a volunteer shift, or simply spreading the word, helps make a difference.

Give to the Friends

Your gift to the Friends of the Ridley Park Library helps provide the resources and opportunities that make our library an essential part of the community.

Whether you're making a first-time gift, giving in memory or honor of someone special, or making a larger contribution toward the library's future, your generosity makes a difference.

Become a Friend

You don't have to be a librarian, a lifelong Ridley Park resident, or a regular volunteer to be a Friend. If you believe our community deserves a strong public library, you can be a Friend.

Membership is one of the easiest ways to show your support and become part of the library's future.

The Friends of the Ridley Park Library is a Section 501(c) (3) charitable organization, EIN 45-3531218. All donations are deemed tax-deductible absent any limitations on deductibility applicable to a particular taxpayer. No goods or services were provided in exchange for your contribution.
